Scholarship Information
The proposed Gr2A project will promote mobility of both students and staff in the computing education field in participating institutions and Africa. The institutions in the Consortium offer various degrees in the field of Computing. The postgraduate degrees on offer at Masters level are:
- Master of Science in Information Systems,
- Master of Science in Big Data,
- Master of Science in Computer Science,
- Master of Science in GIS, and
- Master of Science in Computer Science and Environmental Science.
The same degrees are on offer at PhD level. These are complementary fields and are traditionally viewed as main disciplines of the computing curriculum.
Students graduating with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from our partner universities or any other recognized higher education institution in Africa, for example from CBU, Rhodes University, University of Eswatini, and NUST, Namibia, can pursue a Master of Science degree in Information Systems, or Master of Science degree in Big Data at NUST Zimbabwe. At the same time, students graduating with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from CBU or UNESWA can pursue a Master of Science in Computer Science at Rhodes University if their research interest is in renewable energy. The research foci of the five institutions are varied, enabling students to choose an institution to enroll in for postgraduate degrees based on their research interests.
